Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has said more than 4 lakh pilgrims have visited the Amarnath shrine. Sinha praised the event for showcasing India's unity and providing a profound spiritual experience for devotees.

A woman pilgrim, Sona Bai (55), died and three others were injured in a landslide during the Amarnath Yatra.

This comes a day after a woman pilgrim died and three sustained injuries in a landslide along the Baltal route of the yatra in Ganderbal district.

Ramban SSP Kulbir Singh revealed that saving three or four, all other pilgrims are willing to continue their Amarnath Yatra after first aid.

Amarnath Yatra Begins: The ONGC has set up a permanent disaster management complex in Baltal, Jammu and Kashmir, enhancing safety for the over 330,000 registered Amarnath Yatra pilgrims.

Jammu and Kashmir has declared Amarnath yatra routes as 'No Flying Zone' from July 1 to August 10, 2025, as part of increased security measures. This year, the pilgrimage will be conducted for 38 days, from July 3 to August 8, 2025.

A total of 581 companies from various Central Armed Police Forces will be deployed during the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025.

Registration for Amarnath Yatra 2025 is open from April 14. The pilgrimage runs from July 25 to August 19, with 15,000 pilgrims allowed daily.
