India's domestic air traffic fell over 3% in April, marking the second consecutive monthly decline and the lowest passenger count of 2026. While IndiGo gained market share, airlines face weak demand, geopolitical tensions, rising costs, and a challenging outlook ahead.

SpiceJet flight SG199 from Delhi to Bangalore was delayed on Monday for over 6 hours. The airline cited a ‘technical issue’ and arranged an alternate aircraft, while passengers expressed frustration over lack of communication and support.
