The Indian stock market closed lower on Friday, with benchmark indices declining over 0.5%. Profit booking amid mixed corporate earnings and cautious global sentiment contributed to the downturn, ending a four-week winning streak for both the Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex.

Bandhan Bank sold 15,39,34,975 shares of YES Bank at a rate of ₹21.50 per equity share.

Bandhan Bank reported a net profit of ₹372 crore for the June quarter, exceeding analysts' expectations of ₹352 crore.

Bandhan Bank's Q4 profit surged 483% year-on-year to ₹318 crore. Net revenue dropped 30%, and net interest income declined 4%. Operating profit also decreased by 14.5% compared to the previous year.

Private sector lender Bandhan Bank on Wednesday, April 30, announced a sharp growth in its net profit for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (FY25) even as the net interest income moderated. The company also announced a dividend of ₹1.50 per share.

Bandhan Bank's net profit for the Oct-Dec quarter tanked 42% to ₹426 crore in the financial year 2024-25. Shares closed higher ahead of the earnings announcement on Friday's market session.

Bandhan Bank Share Price Today: The lender's stock rose 12.38% after the RBI approved Partha Pratim Sengupta as MD & CEO. Between 2016 and 2018, Sengupta served as chief general manager, SBI Kolkata Circle.
