IOC Q3 Results: Refining margins surged on low prices of crude oil, the raw material IOC uses to make fuels like petrol and diesel. Fuel sales also rose 5 per cent in the quarter.

The three state-run OMCs, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, saw a sharp movement in their share prices after the government announced a hike in excise duty on petrol and diesel.

BPCL signed a strategic contract with TotalEnergies for crude oil supply from West Asia, effective April 2025. This agreement supports BPCL's commitment to secure stable supplies and enhances its crude sourcing strategy amid challenges from sanctions on Russia.
