Gold price today: Comex gold futures in New York were trading 0.10% higher at $4,259.10/ounce as of 5:13 p.m. (GMT) on 1 December 2025. The rates hit a six-week high of $4,299/oz during Monday's global commodity market session.

Gold prices were poised for a fourth straight monthly rise, bolstered by investor optimism that the US Fed would cut interest rates in its December policy meeting.

MCX share price jumped over 4% on Wednesday after SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey said it will engage with the government to enable banks and pension funds to trade commodities as part of the regulator’s agenda to strengthen commodities markets.

Gold rate today: Gold prices edged lower after the US Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged, as widely anticipated. Also, the likelihood of a rate cut in September has decreased, weighing negatively on bullion.

Gold-Silver ratio fall is driven by a contrasting trend in prices of the two precious metals. While MCX gold prices have declined nearly 2% in the past one month, silver prices have surged more than 7% over the same period. MCX silver price recently hit a record high of over ₹1,15,000 per kg.

Gold price today: Gold prices were steady, with a firm dollar and higher Treasury yields limiting potential gains for the precious metal.

LME copper price today: LME copper prices gained, while SHFE copper prices recovered early losses despite cautiousness among investors due to the Middle East tensions and the release of a slew of economic data from China, the world’s largest consumer of copper.

Gold has delivered stellar returns so far this year, rising 31% year-to-date (YTD) and consistently posting record highs. From ₹7,638 in 2005 to over ₹1,00,000 in June 2025, MCX gold prices have soared by an impressive 1,200.84%. Silver price has gained 668.84% over the same period.

Brent crude oil futures gained $4.87, or 7.02%, to settle at $74.23 a barrel after earlier soaring over 13% to an intraday high of $78.50, the strongest level since January 27.

LME copper price today: The premium of US COMEX copper futures over LME copper stood at $946 per ton. On the domestic front, MCX copper futures were trading 0.39% lower at ₹871.45 per kg.
