Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are poised to open slightly higher, driven by positive US market trends. The domestic market is experiencing a bullish trend, supported by strong foreign investments and improved investor sentiment.

Indian equity benchmarks opened flat as investors remained cautious after recent rallies while geopolitical tensions eased. The NSE Nifty 50 slipped 0.13%, and the BSE Sensex was down 0.01%, following strong gains over the past week amidst declining oil prices.

GAIL (India) reported a weak performance for Q4FY26, with revenue declining 2.3% to ₹35,705 crore and net profit falling 41% year-on-year to ₹1,481 crore. Despite challenges, profit from associates increased, while annual revenue remained flat at ₹1.42 lakh crore.

Fitch Ratings warns that Indian oil marketing companies, including HPCL, IOC and BPCL, and GAIL may experience cash-flow issues due to ongoing West Asia war and potential supply disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz.
