Ponmudi of Enrich Money explained that sustained metal prices have a disproportionate impact on company earnings due to operating leverage, from financial perspective.

This rally in metal stocks stems from various factors and not any standalone trigger. The first and foremost is the expectations of the rate cuts by the Federal Reserve, which supports dollar-denominated commodities.

Hindalco Q2 results: Aditya Birla Group company Hindalco Industries on November 7 posted a 21 per cent year-on-year rise in its consolidated PAT for Q2FY26 at ₹4,741 crore. Revenue from operations rose 13.5 per cent YoY.

Q2 results today: Nykaa, Trent, Hindalco Industries, Bajaj Auto, Kalyan Jewellers, and Divi's Lab are among the companies to declare their results today.

Novelis reported a 26.3% increase in consolidated net income to $163 million for Q2 from $129 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Net income excluding special items declined 37% year-on-year (YoY) to $113 million.

Nifty 50 stocks like Hindalco and SBI hit record highs this October, contributing to over 5.5% gains this month. Positive earnings from banks and tech boosts, along with favorable government policies and festive consumer sentiment, have enhanced market optimism amid improved domestic conditions.
