In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that Articles 370 and 35(A) became history on 5 August 2019, paving the way for the full application of the Constitution of India in the erstwhile state.

On August 5, 2019, the Government of India revoked the special autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating Article 370 and Article 35A via Presidential orders.

A Bench of Justice PS Narasimha and Justice Alok Aradhe disposed of the appeal after Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Omar Abdullah, informed the Court that all disputes between the parties had been amicably resolved, legal news website Bar and Bench reported.
