According to the circulars shared by the stock exchanges, the Indian stock market is open on the Budget Day, February 1, for a special trading session. The regular trade timings from 9 am to 3.30 pm will be followed.

BSE and NSE announced that Thursday, January 15, will be a trading holiday in the equity and equity derivatives segment on account of the Municipal Corporation Election in Maharashtra.

As per the NSE's 2026 stock market holiday calendar, the Indian equity market will remain closed for trading on fifteen days during the year. The schedule also shows that there are no trading holidays in February, July, and August.
