While presenting the Budget 2026, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said the restructuring of PFC and REC is the initial step towards improving the efficiency of public-sector NBFCs.

PFC had acquired the government's 52.63% holding in REC for ₹14,500 crore in March 2019, pursuant to 'In Principle' approval of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA). Accordingly, REC has been operating as a subsidiary company of state-owned PFC.

PFC Q3 results: Profit jumped 14.6% YoY to ₹4,763.33 crore. The company declared a third interim dividend of ₹4 per share of ₹10 for FY26. It had earlier paid an interim dividend of ₹ 7.35 for FY26.

PFC will issue NCDs of 15-year tenor, and offer a coupon rate of 7.3% payable on an annual basis. The base size of the issue is ₹500 crore with a greenshoe option of ₹4,500 crore.

Power Finance Corporation's shares are in focus as November 26 marks the record date for a second interim dividend of ₹3.65 per share. The dividend will be paid by December 6, 2025, and only shareholders by November 26 are eligible.

PFC Q2 Results: Maharatna PSU Power Finance Corporation declared a 2% YoY rise in its standalone net profits for the July-September quarter to ₹4,462 crore. The company also announced a second interim dividend with its record date.

Power Finance Corporation and Rural Electrification Corporation saw increased interest after Morgan Stanley rated them 'Overweight', with target prices of ₹508 and ₹485, respectively. PFC shares rose 3.12%, reaching ₹430.75, while REC shares climbed 2.5% to ₹401.45.

PFC Q4 Results: Power Finance Corporation board also recommended a final dividend of ₹2.05 per equity share, on the face value of the paid-up equity shares of ₹10 each for the FY 2024-25.
