Gold prices are set to be in focus in the first week of December 2025 as investors are now focusing on the upcoming Reserve Bank of India (RBI) policy meeting outcome and the US Fed's key interest rate decision.

Ahead of a Federal Reserve policy announcement, U.S. stocks traded flat. The market expects a 25-basis-point rate cut in response to labor market weaknesses. S&P 500 futures dipped slightly, while speculation rises about potential larger cuts as recession risks loom.

Fed Rate Cut Impact LIVE: FOMC has cut the benchmark interest rates by 25 bps to 4%-4.25%, and has signaled two more rate cuts this year. Asian markets traded higher, while the Indian stock market benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, rallied after the US Fed policy.

The Indian stock market closed lower after early gains, with Nifty 50 and Sensex dropping 0.18% and 0.26%. Mid- and small-cap stocks performed well, while banking stocks were the worst hit.
