Volvo has introduced its first fully electric luxury minivan, the EM90, which is targeted at the Chinese market. The vehicle, based on Volvo's scalable SEA platform, offers high-end features and could expand to other countries in the future.

The Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and Safari, Hyundai Verna, Tata Nexon EV, and Volvo C40 Recharge are the latest car launches that have gained popularity and sales figures. These cars feature unique lighting arrangements, including LED Daytime Running Lights and connected LED taillights.

Volvo to launch all-electric C40 Recharge coupe-SUV in India on September 4, 2023, with bookings opening soon. The model features a distinctive coupe roofline, new Pixel LED headlights, and a range of 530 km on a single charge. Expected starting price is ₹60 lakh.

Volvo XC40 Recharge is powered by two electric motors. It packs a 78kWh battery pack that is said to deliver up to 402bhp output and 660Nm of peak torque.

The development comes mere weeks after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an increase in the customs duty levied on imported vehicles.

The company will launch the electric version of its Volvo SUV C40 in the fourth quarter of 2023, and will keep launching one electric vehicle every year in the country going forward, confirms a company official.
