Yes Bank share price today opened with an upside gap at ₹23 apiece on the NSE and touched an intraday high of ₹23.67 per share, recording an intraday gain of over 3% on Friday

Private sector lender YES Bank will declare its results for the December quarter (Q3FY26) on Saturday, 17 January. For Q2FY26, YES Bank posted an 18.3% year-on-year (YoY) rise in net profit at ₹654.5 crore.

If the Supreme Court upholds the high court ruling, Yes Bank may have to reimburse bondholders with 9% annual interest, a decision that could materially affect the lender’s finances and set a precedent for future bank resolution mechanisms.

The two new additions — Yes Bank and Union Bank — are projected to receive a total of $249 million in inflows.

According to a report by The Economic Times, the Japanese financial institution, which currently holds a 24.99% stake in Yes Bank, is open to buying additional stake, depending upon regulatory approval.

LIC’s share by value in companies listed on NSE went down 3.63% as on September 30, 2025, from 3.68% as on June 30, 2025. In rupee terms, LIC holding recorded a 16.76% decline to ₹16.11 lakh crore on September 30, 2025.

Analysts see many positive implications of this trend for the Indian banking space. FDI inflows, in many ways, are often precursors to broader institutional participation, said analysts.

IDFC First Bank shares emerged as the top gainers, rallying nearly 5%, followed by Yes Bank shares, which gained 2.25%. HDFC Bank share price rose over 1.7% to hit a 52-week high, while ICICI Bank share price declined as much as 2.57% after the release of Q2 results.
