McDonald's is rolling out a major expansion of its value offerings, signaling a renewed focus on affordability and flexibility for customers. Beginning April 21, participating locations in the United States will introduce an updated McValue platform featuring a new Under $3 Menu and an affordable breakfast meal deal, alongside existing lunch and dinner bundles.

The initiative builds on the success of the McValue program launched in 2025 and reflects evolving consumer expectations around price, choice, and convenience.

Leadership emphasizes flexibility and affordability

Alyssa Buetikofer, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of McDonald’s USA, framed the update as part of a broader shift in how the company approaches value.

“For generations, McDonald’s has been committed to delivering great value our fans can count on,” she said. “As our customers’ expectations evolve, we’re making it easier for them to get the value they’re looking for – on their terms.”

The revamped McValue strategy is designed to give customers more control over how they build meals, offering a mix-and-match approach at consistent price points.

Introduction of the under $3 menu

At the center of the new rollout is the Under $3 Menu, which will feature at least 10 items available throughout the day. The offering is structured to provide budget-friendly options across breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Breakfast items include staples such as the Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns, and a medium McCafé Premium Roast Coffee.

Later in the day, customers can choose from items like the McChicken, McDouble, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries, and a medium soft drink—all priced under $3.

Additionally, McDonald’s plans to feature limited-time promotions on select items, including the Sausage McMuffin for $1.50 and the McDouble for $2.50.

New $4 breakfast meal deal

Expanding beyond à la carte options, McDonald’s is introducing a $4 Breakfast Meal Deal aimed at morning customers. The bundle allows guests to choose between a Sausage McMuffin or Sausage Biscuit, paired with hash browns and a small McCafé Premium Roast Coffee.

The move marks the first time the company has extended its popular meal deal format into the breakfast category, reinforcing its focus on value across all dayparts.

Continued focus on lunch and dinner deals

The company is also maintaining its existing meal deals for later in the day. Customers can opt for a $5 McChicken Meal Deal or a $6 McDouble Meal Deal, both of which include 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries, and a small soft drink.

These bundled options are designed to provide a complete meal at a predictable price, appealing to budget-conscious consumers.

Digital access and nationwide rollout

Customers will be able to explore the updated menu and locate participating restaurants through the McDonald’s website and mobile app. The rollout across the US underscores the company’s effort to standardize value offerings while still allowing flexibility at the local level.
