Ahead of LS poll result, Opposition ups ante over EVMs, moves EC again

Just a day before India's verdict in Lok Sabha elections, 2019 is revealed, 22 Opposition parties moved the Election Commission again over doubts and concerns regarding Electronic Voting Machines. The Opposition has put forth two recommendations, asking the EC to match Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails with EVM results in 5 booths of each assembly constituency first, and in case a discrepancy is found, match all VVPATs and EVM results in that assembly constituency. The Opposition received a shot in the arm with former President Pranab Mukherjee also appealing to the EC to lay to rest all reasonable doubts regarding EVMs. Watch the full video for more
