Protests continued in Hong Kong for the tenth consecutive weekend. Demonstrations were witnessed in multiple places including the Hong Kong airport, where protestors have been camping for three days. A standoff between demonstrators and police outside the Cheung Sha Wan police station ended with cops firing tear gas to disperse the crowd. The protests are continuing despite Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam's allegations that the economy is taking a hit. The protestors are demanding complete withdrawal of a bill, now suspended, which proposed extradition of suspects to mainland China. They also want direct election of the city's leader and an investigation into alleged police violence.
