Google, Apple block TikTok app in India

Google & Apple have blocked the popular Chinese app TikTok in India. The video app is no longer available in Google and Apple app stores in India. A Tamil Nadu court asked the government to ban TikTok due to inappropriate content. The government sent a letter requesting Apple & Google to abide by the state court's order. Google said in a statement it does not comment on individual apps but adheres to local laws. Apple did not respond to requests for comment. TikTok had been downloaded more than 240 million times in India.
