The objective being to secure the rights of women who, it says, are treated as “concubines” in such relationships. But the idea of any government regulating our social lives is problematic. Whether it’s a live-in or marriage, the decision to be in any such relationship ought to be a choice for the partners to make, and not for the state to dictate.
