3 Indians named in the 16th edition of Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy list.
First is Gautam Adani who is listed for pledging ₹60,000 crores in June this year.
The money will address healthcare, education, and skill development.
Adani, is the founder of conglomerate Adani Group, the largest port operator in India.
Self-made billionaire and philanthropist Shiv Nadar has channelled close to $1 billion.
This year, he donated ₹11,600 crore to the foundation he established in 1994.
Nadar, who cofounded HCL Technologies, stepped down from executive roles in 2021.
Tech tycoon Ashok Soota has pledged ₹600 crore to medical research.
He started Scientific Knowledge for Ageing and Neurological ailments with a ₹200 cr
