Hares

Species like the Arctic hare, mountain hare and snowshoe hare, change from brown or greyish to white during the winter.

Weasels

Three species of weasels, namely the least weasel, the long-tailed weasel, and the short-tailed weasel change their warm summer browns for icy whites in winter. 

Peary Caribou

They are the only subspecies of the caribou family to swap their silvery summer coats for white ones with the coming of winter.

Ptarmigans

All three species of these birds swap their brown, scalloped plumage for white feathers.

Arctic Foxes

These are usually brownish-grey during the summer and exchange to a frosty white in the winter.
