Pagan Reed-Warbler

Recently classified as a subspecies of the Guam Reed-warbler, it is said to become extinct in the 1960s due to the introduction of non-native plants, animals, and habitat degradation in Guam.

The species went extinct in 1987 with the introduction of invasive plants, and the subsequent food shortages, combined with the impacts of avian pox and malaria, likely contributed to the species' extinction.
