ONLY HAPPEN IN CERTAIN PARTS

 Most widespread misconceptions about earthquakes is that they only occur near tectonic plate borders. In reality, there are more earthquakes in some regions of the world than in others.

ANIMALS CAN PREDICT

Animals can foretell earthquakes is one of the most widespread beliefs. There's no reason to believe that animals might sense an earthquake in advance, and they don't usually act differently before one.

ONLY OCCUR IN CERTAIN SEASONS

Eruptions can occur at any time, which is one of the most significant aspects about them. Tectonic forces, which function regardless of the season, are what cause earthquakes.
