Google has decided to make some changes to Android after a CCI fine of ₹1,337.76 crore
A look at some of the changes coming to Android
It will now allow device makers to license individual Google apps for pre-installation on their devices
Indian users will now have the option to choose their default search engine
Default search engine could be selected via a “choice screen" that will appear when a user sets up a new Android device
The tech giant will also offer “user choice billing" for all apps and games from next month
It will enable app developers to use different billing systems and could potentially lead to lower pricing for apps
Android will now be able to flag if sideloaded apps are known to be malicious
