STRONG RAINS

Heavy rains in Chennai, flooded parts of the city and submerged cars and roads. There were widespread delays for flights and trains.

CYCLONE MICHAUNG 

Cyclone Michaung is expected to make landfall on December 5 near coastal Andhra. It is brewing in the Bay of Bengal and is likely to cross the coasts of northern Tamil Nadu.

HOILDAYS

Tamil Nadu declared that on December 5, all government offices, colleges, and educational facilities would be closed in the districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu.

CYCLONE MOVEMENT

It is anticipated that the cyclonic storm will gradually strengthen, travel northward nearly parallel to the coast of south Andhra Pradesh, and pass between Nellore and Machilipatnam.
