New Delhi IG Airport Terminal 2 shutdown temporary due to maintenance work.
The Delhi Airport T2 closure will begin at midnight of April 15, 2025, officials said.
Delhi Airport has four runways and one of them is shut for maintenance work. Terminal 1 and terminal 3 are operational and used for domestic flights.
Only Indigo and Akasha are the affected airlines. The operations of the same have been completely shifted to T1.
Flight operation from Tamilnadu to have been completely shifted to Terminal 1.
DIAL said Delhi Airpport's Terminal 1 can handle 40 million passengers annually, Terminal 3 can handle 45 million, while Terminal 2 had a capacity of 15 million.
Civili Aviation Secretary Vumlunmnag Vualanam said that T1 & T3 will able to handle the passengers traffic.
Delhi Airport authorities handle around 13,000 flight movements daily .
