Check the Packaging

Seals: Ensure that the box has intact Apple seals. If the packaging looks tampered with or the box is damaged, it could be a sign of a counterfeit. Box quality: Apple packaging is of high quality, with precise printing and perfect alignment. Low-quality printing or misaligned text can indicate a fake product.

Examine the Design and Build Quality

Weight: Genuine iPhones have a specific weight. A counterfeit iPhone may feel lighter or heavier than the original. Finish and Materials: Apple uses premium materials like metal and glass. If the body feels cheap or the texture is off, it could be fake.

Check the Serial Number

Go to Settings > General > About on the iPhone and note the Serial Number. Visit the official Apple Check Coverage page and enter the serial number. Apple will confirm whether the serial number matches a genuine product.

Inspect the IMEI Number

Dial *#06# on the phone to reveal the IMEI number. Cross-check this IMEI number with the one on the box and visit an online IMEI checker to confirm it is linked to an authentic iPhone. You can also check IMEI against Apple's database by visiting Apple’s IMEI Checker.

Test the Software

A genuine iPhone runs on iOS. Fake iPhones may have a counterfeit operating system. Check if the software feels smooth, and try downloading some apps from the App Store. 2.7 to 5.9 kg

Test Face ID, Touch ID, and Other Features

Test Face ID or Touch ID. Fake iPhones may not have these features working properly or at all. Try using Siri and check the quality of the voice assistant.

Check for Apple Support

Visit Apple’s official Support Website and try logging into your Apple ID on the phone. If you are unable to do so or face issues with the iCloud, it may indicate a fake device.
