Indian Navy received fifth scorpene-class submarine Vagir built under Project-75

Project – 75 includes indigenous construction of 6 submarines of Scorpene design

Launched on Nov 12, 2020, Vagir started sea trials on Feb 1, 2022

Vagir has completed all major trials in shortest time compared earlier submarines

Vagir was delivered to Navy by MDL Mumbai on Dec 20

These submarines are being constructed at MDL Mumbai
