INDIA VS ZIMBABWE JULY 2024

DATES, TIMINGS, VENUE, SQUAD, AND WHERE TO WATCH

Team India will face Zimbabwe in a T20 series of five matches starting from July 6. The Indian team will be led by Shubman Gill. 

After a tremendous win in the T20 World Cup, key Indian team players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja have retired from the T20 format. Additionally, several regular players are being rested and will sit out of the Zimbabwe series

Dates & Timings

The first match will be on Saturday, July 6. The series will go on till July 14. All matches will begin at 4:30 pm IST. 

Venue

All matches will be played at Harare Sports Club Stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe. 

Squad Changes

BCCI was forced to make some changes to the squad after several players got stuck in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl. The Board had to find replacements for Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal for the first two T20 matches. 

Squad for 1st & 2nd T20 matches

The squad for the matches on July 6 and July 7 is the following: Shubman Gill (C), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Dhruv Jarel (WK), Riyan Parag, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Tushar Deshpande, Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma (WK), and Harshit Rana. 

Ahmed & Singh

Although Ahmed and Singh, who were traveling reserves for the T20 World Cup, are also stuck in Barbados, BCCI is yet to announce replacements for them.
