BOLIDE IN NIGHT SKY

NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick captures a bright green meteor explosion in a new video.

Dominick is the commander of SpaceX Crew-8 aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The video includes timelapse photos of the meteor's explosion over Cairo, Egypt.

The meteor exploded on September 3 at 5:42 am IST.

Dominick was initially photographing the Milky Way’s core when he captured the meteor.

The meteor, identified as a “bolide,” disintegrated upon entering Earth's atmosphere.

Dominick shared the timelapse on X, where he discussed it with friends who identified it as a bolide.
