Among several issues, migraine is one invisible illness which makes it impossible for anyone around you at the office to see how much pain you’re in. Here are 5 tips to manage migraine at the office, according to healthline.

Speak with boss

Only a person who has migraine knows how much it hurts. One of the best ways to deal with it in the office is to speak with HR and your manager and let them know your situation.

Have a backup plan

If you have a migraine attack in the office, have a backup plan where you can share your workload. If you are too sick, take a cab back home.

Control triggers

Another way to deal with migraine is controlling trigger elements like light, high volume, strong odours, and diet. Stay hydrated and avoid nicotine or alcohol.

Keep medicines in stock

Always keep an anti-migraine kit handy at work. This includes pain relievers, anti-nausea medications, a cold pack, etc. Drink water and eat healthy snacks at regular intervals.

Manage stress

One of the contributing factors for migraine attacks is stress. Try taking breaks in between to meditate, breathe deeply, or walk outside for fresh air.
